We run out of Erdington and cover roughly a 10 mile radius, with most of our work across east Birmingham and over the Solihull border. Permits are not always issued by the council you would expect — each area below says which one applies.

Stechford sits in east Birmingham between the Coventry Road and Flaxley Road, so it is Birmingham City Council that issues a permit if the skip has to go on the road — and as a registered operator we apply for that on your behalf.

Sheldon runs along the Coventry Road under the Birmingham Airport approach, and is still inside the Birmingham City Council boundary — so permits come from Birmingham even though Solihull starts a mile down the road.

Marston Green falls under Solihull rather than Birmingham, so permits are issued by Solihull MBC even though the village is closer to the airport than to Solihull town centre. Getting that wrong is what holds a road drop up.

Solihull is its own metropolitan borough, so road permits and notice periods differ from Birmingham's. Driveway drops avoid the permit entirely.

Sutton Coldfield is inside the Birmingham City Council boundary despite the separate postal town, so road permits come from Birmingham at £42 for seven days — not from Staffordshire or Walsall.

Great Barr straddles a council boundary. Which authority issues your permit depends on which side of it your address falls, so it is worth checking before the skip is booked onto the road.

Kingstanding is largely inter-war estate housing, so most properties have their own driveway or hardstanding and no road permit is needed.

Wylde Green runs along the Chester Road between Erdington and Sutton Coldfield, so it is directly on our main route north.

Boldmere's terraced and semi-detached streets off the Boldmere Road shopping parade are tighter than average, so skip placement is worth discussing when you book.
Skip hire in Four Oaks
Permits: Birmingham City Council
Four Oaks has some of the largest private driveways in the borough, which usually means no permit and easy access for a larger builders skip.
Skip hire in Streetly
Permits: Walsall Council
Streetly is in Walsall, not Birmingham, so a road permit here comes from Walsall Council under a different fee and notice period. Plenty of operators get this wrong.
